Your data in CortexCut

The information you provide

We process the account information needed to sign you in, your editorial profile, the video files you import, their transcripts, your editing choices and your publication requests. This information is used to provide the features you use.

Before you access the service's features, we ask you to accept this policy. We record its version and the date of your agreement, linked to your account. You can leave without accepting, remove the YouTube connection or contact us about your data. This agreement does not replace Google authorization or your confirmation to publish.

When you connect YouTube

CortexCut uses YouTube API Services. With your Google authorization, we receive a renewable access token, the permissions granted, and your channel's ID and name. For videos you ask us to publish, we also retain the YouTube IDs and links, processing information and visibility settings returned by YouTube.

This data is used to connect the right channel, carry out your request and display the result. CortexCut does not collect your Google password. The refresh token is encrypted in our database.

Processing and sharing

Transcription requires making the imported file available to the transcription service through a temporary link. Depending on the features used, analysis services receive the transcript, your editorial profile or frames extracted from your video to prepare clips and framing.

Google receives authorization and publication requests, along with the videos and metadata you choose to send. CortexCut's technical providers process the data needed for hosting, storage, transcription and analysis of your files. Documents you provide to prepare your profile may be processed by our analysis services.

Google data is used for the connection and publication features you request. It is not sold, used to target advertising or used to train a general-purpose artificial intelligence model. Our use of data received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention, withdrawal of access and deletion

You can disconnect your channel in YouTube Account or revoke authorization from Google security settings. You can request deletion of your data at our privacy email address. We verify that the request concerns your account before processing it.

Deleting data held by CortexCut does not delete videos already published on YouTube. Manage those videos directly in YouTube Studio.

Cookies and browser preferences

CortexCut uses cookies to maintain your signed-in session. Your browser also remembers your language and appearance choices in local storage. You can change these preferences in the app and clear site data in your browser settings; doing so may sign you out and reset your choices.
